First day of NaNo, and it is started. I managed to bash off the first 500 words on paper in English this morning, although there were a lot of distractions (God, can't the teacher realise that some of us are trying to write novels here, and that's a lot more important than A Level English Literature?). Going to get a large bowl of pasta, type it up and continue now. The beginning has turned out quite dark, it'll come as a surprise considering what the novel's actually about - i.e. nothing but froth and comedy.

Day was good. Horrible Friends are actually being quite nice and Slightly Less Horrible. I could almost hug them. Without actually, you know, touching them.
